The story behind the design

Kalamkari is one of India's oldest textile arts, where artists in Andhra Pradesh hand-paint mythological stories onto cloth with a bamboo pen (kalam) and natural dyes. Kalamkari Tide borrows that flowing, storytelling line work and lets it wash out to sea, with waves, fish and coastal motifs drawn in the Kalamkari spirit.
